Dave Ryan is a play by play announcer for the CBS College Sports Network
and CBS Sports. He calls play by play for college football, basketball, lacrosse, hockey,
baseball, and volleyball. Dave also called NFL action for CBS Sports in 2009, in addition to the
2010 NCAA Final 4 from
Indianapolis for CBS 3D to movie theaters nationwide. Dave also calls
college football and basketball
nationwide for the Westwood One Radio Network. He just finished his third
year as co-director
of Sportscaster U. at Syracuse University, a program for NBA players
instructing them how to be
broadcasters when their playing careers are over. The program runs in
association with the
prestigous Newhouse School of Public Communications.
Before the CBS College Sports Network, Dave worked at ESPN/ABC Sports for
15 years. He was
a three time Emmy Nominated announcer for ESPN, calling everything from
Major League Baseball
to the X-Games. He called college football, basketball, baseball, hockey
and the
NCAA lacrosse championship weekend in his time at ESPN. He was also the
voice of the
PBA bowlers' tour for five years, and worked the Little League and College
World Series for 11 years.
Dave is a native of New York City and graduate of Syracuse University's
Newhouse School, he is married with four children and currently lives in
Syracuse, NY.
